Hey, I'm Jill
I believe in a collaborative approach to counselling where you are respected as the expert in your own life. As a trauma-informed counsellor in Chilliwack, BC, I journey alongside you with curiosity and care, creating a space that is warm, welcoming, and free from judgment, expectations, or advice.
At times, I may ask hard questions to gently challenge the perspectives that are keeping you stuck. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to support you in exploring your story, understanding the influences shaping it, and reconnecting with your own strengths and possibilities.
As a queer cis woman with a deep commitment to social justice, my work is grounded in social work values and shaped by supporting people across diverse identities, capacities, and life paths.
I offer inclusive counselling for youth (12+), adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions, including LGBTQ+ affirming support.

AREAS OF PRACTICE
TRAUMA
Past experiences can continue to shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. My work is trauma-informed and focused on creating a space where difficult experiences can be approached with care, curiosity, and respect for your pace. Counselling offers an opportunity to gently explore these experiences and the meanings they have carried, while reconnecting with your own strengths and resilience.
ANXIETY & OVERWHELM
Anxiety can show up in many ways — racing thoughts, constant worry, physical tension, or a sense of always being on edge. In counselling, we can explore the pressures, expectations, and experiences that may be shaping your relationship with anxiety. Together we work toward understanding how anxiety has been operating in your life and finding ways to create more space for calm, clarity, and self-trust.
GRIEF & LOSS
Grief can arise through many kinds of loss — the death of a loved one, the ending of relationships, shifts in identity, or major life changes. There is no single way to grieve. Counselling provides space to honour the complexity of grief, speak about what has been lost, and explore how you continue to carry those experiences forward in your life.
RELATIONSHIPS & CONNECTION
Relationships can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly challenging. Whether you are navigating conflict, communication struggles, or changes within family or partnership dynamics, counselling can help create space to understand these patterns and explore new possibilities for connection, boundaries, and understanding.
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Periods of transition — such as career changes, family shifts, relocation, or personal growth — can bring uncertainty and emotional strain. Counselling can support you in making sense of these moments of change, exploring what matters most to you, and moving through transitions with greater clarity and intention.
IDENTITY & SELF-UNDERSTANDING
Questions about identity can arise at many points in life. You may be exploring who you are, how you see yourself, or how your experiences have shaped your sense of identity. Counselling offers a reflective space to explore these questions with curiosity, helping you connect more deeply with your values, experiences, and sense of self.
QUEER-AFFIRMING COUNSELLING
I offer affirming counselling for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. This space acknowledges the unique experiences that can come with navigating identity, relationships, family systems, and social expectations. My work is grounded in respect, inclusion, and social justice, creating a space where your experiences and identities are welcomed and honoured.
YOUR EXPERIENCE DOESN'T HAVE TO FIT A CATEGORY
Counselling conversations are not limited to a specific list of topics. People often bring many different experiences into the room — including stress, burnout, family dynamics, substance use, questions about self-worth, body image, or navigating difficult life circumstances.
If you’re unsure whether counselling might be helpful for what you’re experiencing, you’re always welcome to reach out. Together we can explore what’s been happening and whether this space feels like a supportive place to begin.
