Counselling FAQs | What to Expect
If you're considering counselling in Chilliwack, BC, it's natural to have questions about how sessions work, booking, fees, and what to expect. This page covers some of the basics so you can feel a little more prepared for getting started.
If you don’t see your question here, you’re always welcome to reach out.
Where to Start?
If you're interested in working together, you're welcome to reach out through the contact form or send me an email. I respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.
From there we can talk about what you're looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit.
Once your first appointment is booked, I’ll send you a link to set up your Jane profile and complete the intake forms. From there, you’ll be able to schedule, reschedule, and manage your appointments online.

What Happens in a Session?
Counselling is a collaborative conversation. Rather than trying to “fix” problems, we work together to explore the stories, experiences, and patterns that may be shaping your life right now.
Some sessions might involve reflecting on difficult experiences, while others focus on noticing strengths, values, and possibilities that may have been overshadowed by challenges.
There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you.

How does billing work?
Counselling sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. In-person, virtual, and phone appointments are available, with longer sessions offered upon request.
FEES
Individual counselling session: $150 / 50 minutes
Couples counselling session: $170 / 50 minutes
I accept e-transfers and most major credit cards. Payments can be made in person or securely through your Jane profile.
Direct billing is not available. Payment is required on the day of your appointment, and I will provide a receipt with my RCC and RSW registration numbers for insurance reimbursement.
Many extended health benefit plans cover counselling services. Please check with your provider to confirm your coverage and reimbursement details.

Approved Service Provider
I am an approved service provider for First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP), and BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS CIS).
If you are approved for counselling through one of these programs, feel free to reach out and we can talk together about what the next steps might look like.
